The 2016 Insurance Times Broker Service Survey (BSS) results are in and NIG is celebrating another very strong performance.

Its position in the rankings has increased continually over the last few years and 2016 was no different as it moved up three places from 9th to 6th position. This improvement is matched by our overall rating which has increased from 3.9 to 4.15, our best performance yet.

The positive result is particularly significant because it is in the most in depth and comprehensive broker survey within the UK broker market.

The survey allows brokers to rate insurers across service dimensions such as;

  • Ease of access to decision-makers
  • Underwriting expertise and flexibility
  • Claims: Fairness of settlement
  • Claims: Speed of settlement
  • Policy Documentation: Accuracy and clarity of wording
  • Policy Documentation: Speed of delivery
  • Quality of cover
  • E-trading options for brokers

Neil Manser, Managing Director of NIG commented:

“Following the fantastic result of being rated number 1 for eTrade  earlier in the year, achieving our best ever result in the Broker Service Survey is another great milestone in  what has been a very positive year. From the enhancements that we’ve made to our eTrade products, platform and software house proposition, to the launch of a Business Interruption Calculator and new technologies that improve our claims process, the high ratings from our brokers reflect all the hard work that has been put in towards our aim of being effortless to trade with.”
